The CEMA in partnership with the Monaco Economic Board received on May 9 and 10, 2022 The Chamber of Commerce of Djibouti for an economic and commercial mission in Monaco. This mission was a follow-up to the webinar organized on December 7th between representatives of the private sectors of the two States, and to the contact initiated in July 2021 by Mr Alexis Mohamed, Advisor to the Presidency. The President of the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Youssouf Moussa Dawaleh, was accompanied on this occasion by an important delegation composed of 15 major actors of the Djibouti economy, from the banking, port, logistics and transport, tourism or retail and construction sectors.

Please find attached the letter from Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen to EBCAM President Etienne Giros on behalf of High Representative/Vice President Josep Borrell, Executive Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis and Commissioner Thierry Breton in response to EBCAM's latest position paper, "AU-EU 2022 Summit: Ensuring Effective EU Support for Private Sector Investment as Contributors to Development," calling on EBCAM to meet to jointly discuss the proposals shared in our position paper.
