African business outlook: 2025 programme

2025 looks set to be a dynamic year for CEMA members! A number of strategic initiatives were presented at the ?? cocktail reception, strengthening the economic ties between Monaco and Africa, with a particular focus on expansion into English-speaking Africa.

Expansion into English-speaking Africa

After a decade of commitment, the CEMA board has decided to focus more of its efforts on English-speaking Africa. Two seminars are already planned:

February 2025 : A key economic exchange event with Kenya.

September 2025: A strategic meeting with key players in Nigeria.

These events will provide business leaders with opportunities to network and develop solid partnerships in these fast-growing markets.

An active European network in Africa

Involvement in the European Business Council for Africa remains a major focus. The General Assembly of this organisation will be held in Monaco in March 2025, bringing together the heads of European business clubs active in Africa (Germany, Switzerland, Norway, etc.). This meeting will be an ideal opportunity to establish strategic connections with other economic players on the continent.

Highlights of the second half

Two major events will mark the second half of the year:

Mission to South Africa (21-24 October 2025): Johannesburg and Pretoria will be the main centres visited. A minimum of ten committed members is required to ensure a high-quality programme.

Africa Day n°4 (17 November 2025) : This event, organised two days before the Prince's Day in Monaco, will ensure a strong presence of African consuls and facilitate institutional exchanges.

With this ambitious roadmap, CEMA's business leaders have a unique opportunity to strengthen their presence on the African continent and forge strategic links with key players in economic development.
