As part of International Women's Rights Day, the Conseil National organized a "Femmes d'Engagement" trophy award ceremony in the Grand Hémicycle on Monday March 4, 2024, to mark the launch of "Semaine de l'engagement au féminin", in the presence of H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, Madame Camille Gottlieb, H.E. Mr Pierre Dartout, Minister of State, top government officials and National Councillors.
President Brigitte Boccone-Pagès and Christine Pasquier-Ciulla, President of the Commission de la Famille et de l'Egalité (Family and Equality Commission), wished to honor three women who are recognized in the Principality for their exemplary commitment and careers in the service of the general interest, and in support of associative and humanitarian causes.
Mrs. Patricia Husson, Honorary President of CEMA, Club des Entrepreneurs Monégasques en Afrique, was presented with her trophy by Mrs. Camille Gottlieb. We're very proud of her and congratulate her warmly.
This award highlights all the humanitarian actions undertaken through "Mission Enfance", the association she has chaired for almost 15 years in Monaco. The mission of this international solidarity organization is to help children in distress throughout the world, and to provide them with educational support. Since the association was founded in 1991, over 1,700,000 children have benefited from humanitarian aid in the world's most sensitive areas. Mrs. Patricia Husson honored our Club by highlighting CEMA's dynamic Business commitment in the Principality.
Mrs Annie Olivi was awarded the "Femme d'Engagement" trophy in recognition of her unwavering commitment over more than 30 years as President of the Association Monégasque des Handicapés Moteurs.
H.E. Mrs Anne Eastwood was privileged to receive her trophy from H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie. The award is in recognition of her outstanding professional commitment to the service of the State.
To conclude the ceremony, and after warmly congratulating the prizewinners, President Brigitte Boccone-Pagès addressed a message to the younger generation, encouraging them too to get involved.
"Get involved, whatever field you choose. In your work, in politics, for your country, in your family life, for a cause, for a passion... it doesn't matter. I invite you to embrace your potential, nurture your passions and follow your convictions. Never underestimate the power of your commitment, for it is through our actions, one step at a time, that we shape our collective destiny."
