The project "Nager au Féminin", is initiated by the Club des Entreprises Monégasques en Afrique in partnership with the Princess Charlène de Monaco Foundation, the House of Rugby and whose implementation is carried out by the Senegalese Federation of Swimming and Lifesaving.
This project aims to promote the practice of swimming among girls and to train instructors who will be able to join the staff of the Senegalese Federation of Swimming and Rescue on its various activities or work with the municipalities to supervise the beaches during the summer. Trips to some regions of Senegal were made to present the project to local authorities and to start awareness campaigns and theoretical training. Thus the communes of : Bettinty, Missira, Toubacouta, Sokone and the Kaolack region were visited.
During these sensitization sessions in this part of Senegal (center-south), we did training sessions for 2 instructors and a technical supervisor on the introduction to swimming and water rescue, they will be in charge of the training and the follow-up. We have also started training 25 girls.
